The panoramic Surma Valley of Srimongal on the border of Indian state of Assam which is popularly known as the land of two leaves & a bud. Srimongal has been established as the tea capital of Bangladesh being nestled with the evergreen tea plantation & tropical rain forest of Lawachara. You will travel through this green paradise of large rain forest and walk through the majestic standing trees which are undisturbed for century. The attractive singing birds like Oriol, Barbet, Hornbills, and Hill Moyna etc. with the high profile symphony of small insects like cricket will absolutely absorb you. The rare Hullook Gibons, Capped Langur and Slow Loris and some reptile are available in this evergreen jungle. The adventurous tourist can undertake strenuous forest hiking in the wild life sanctuary of Rema Kalanga, Saatchari and Adampur dense bamboo & creeper jungle.

 

Itinerary-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 01: Arrival

Arrive Dhaka & transfer to hotel. 

Day 02: Dhaka

Morning visit City tour including visit to Sadarghat river port, Ahsan Manzil, Hindu Street, Freedom War Museum,  Star Mosque, Armenian Church, Lalbagh Mughal Fort and Parliament Building (if visit inside, require special permission). Evening free time & overnight at hotel.

*Due to Traffic congestion in Dhaka all may not be covered. 

Day 03: Dhaka – Srimongal

Early morning drive to Sonargaon (30km.), the ancient capital of golden Bengal - Panam City, Goaldi Mosque, Sonargaon  Folk Art Museum, & the complex in the wonderful natural set up. Short boat cruise in the river Meghna.  Lunch at wayside restaurant & after lunch drive to Srimongal (185 km.) – the land of two leaves & a bud & the tea capital of Bangladesh. Reach Srimongal and transfer to hilltop tea resort.  Enjoy the Swimming Pool or leisurely walk through the adjacent lash green tea gardens of the hill slope and observe colorful local birds & tea plucking. Overnight at Tea resort. 

Day 04: Srimongal

Early morning explore the wonderful Lawachara Tropical Rain Forest which is one of the richest National Park to observe the rare species of Capped Langur, Lorris, Ape Monkeys, Hoolok Givon etc. Here you can observe the rare species of world’s largest butterflies like Birdwing, Triodes, Ornithoptra which are measured 6 inch. to 8 inch. length between two wings. There are more than 286 species of local colorful birds. You can have ‘Elephant Riding’ at Lawachara (extra cost).Visit the tea processing center & observe the tea plucking. Afternoon explore Madhabpur Lake, Tribal villages of Monipuri & Khasia Punjee. Evening you can enjoy the cultural excellence in Monipuri village (extra cost). Overnight at tea resort.

Day 05: Srimongal – Dhaka - Transfer

Early morning you can explore the wonderful ‘Baikka Beel (haor)’ where the thousands of migratory birds found in their natural habitat during the winter season. In this sanctuary you can also enjoy the fishing activities in an wonderful natural setup. This attractive haor is also famous for different type of water lily’s. After breakfast drive back to Dhaka & transfer to the airport for onward destination.
