Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) is situated in the North – Eastern region of Bangladesh covering an area about 13,190 sq. km. The topography of Chittagong Hill tracts comprising Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari hill districts and is featured by hilly rivers, lakes, water springs and cliff covered with thick tropical forest, lush and creeper jungles. The land of Chittagong Hill tracts present a look of picturesque beauty of serenity of the nature.
There are as many as 13/14 separate tribal mostly migrated from Myanmar and neighboring Tripura. The races formed their ideal habitat on the valley and ridges of the steep hills. The popular Chakma, Marma & Tripura are valley loving tribal group while the other groups like Murang, Bawm, Khumi, Mro, Lushai, Khyang, Pankhu, Tangchayanga, Chaak & Riang are all living on these ridges. The adventure loving tourist will get very exceptional tracking experience to explore the steep hills, forest and the scenic beauty of the tribal villages.
This tour is featured with certain popular sites of Rangamati & Bandarban hill districts with the exotic tourist attractions mainly with the tribal people and their habitat.
Itinerary----------------------------------------------------------
Day 01: ARRIVAL
Arrive Dhaka & transfer to hotel.
Day 02: DHAKA CITY
Dhaka City Tour. Visit to Lalbagh Mughal Fort, Dhakeswari Temple, Curzon Hall, Sahid Minar and Parliament Building. Also visit Aarong the local Mecca for deshi handicrafts. Overnight at hotel.
*Due to Traffic congestion in Dhaka all may not be covered.
Day 03: DHAKA-CHITTAGONG
Morning drive to Chittagong. On the way visit Sonargaon, the old capital of Bengal (Pre Mughal) visit to ruins of Painam village and folk culture museum. Further drive to visit some of the sites and museum - Mainamati Buddhist Ruins. Reach Chittagong and overnight at hotel.
Day 04: CHITTAGONG-RANGAMATI
Drive to Rangamati the queen of the hills (2.5 hrs). Visit the Tribal Museum, Buddhist Temple,King’s Palace, Tribal weaving factory and Hanging Bridge. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: RANGAMATI-BANDARBAN (3 hrs.)
Morning Cruise in the Asia’s largest man made Lake Kaptai. and visit tribal village. Afternoon drive through the scenic road and cross Karnaphuli river by ferry. Reach Bandarban and transfer to hotel.
Day 06: BANDBARBAN
Morning drive to Chimbuk, visit the tribal village of Murang Tribes and take a deep look at their lifestyle. Afternoon visit tribal village of Bawm & Tripura. Experience their custom & culture. Dinner at Tripura house. Experience their food. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07: BANDARBAN-CHITTAGONG-DHAKA
Early morning sunrise on Tiger Hills and after breakfast visit Tribal Bazar. Drive to Chittagong and fly to Dhaka. Transfer to the hotel & overnight.
Day 08: TRANSFER
Morning transfer to the airport for onward destination.
