Sundarban

The largest mangrove forest of the world. The home of Royal Bengal Tiger, the Sundarbans is a place of Eco-tourism. Every nature oriented tourists will get an unequalled opportunity to find and unique environments and over whelming spectrum of unusual exotic wildlife and natural bounty that has no match in the world.

The most prominent and fascinating Islands, which offers various attraction to tourists. One finds here tides flowing in two direction in the same creek and often Tigers swimming across a river or huge crocodiles basking in the sun.

Cox’s Bazar

The countrys southermost town Coxs Bazar is 416 km south-east of the capital Dhaka and 152 km south of port city Chittagong. Coxs Bazar is connected by both air and road from Dhaka and Chittagong. The town is an undoubtedly ideal vacation spot with hinterland of decidedly super scenic attraction. It has the world-s longest stretch of 120 km unbroken beach. Undoubted ranges of hills that forms the background of the beach overlook the Bay of Bengal. The range of hills from Teknaf of Coxs Bazar hugs the sea for long 27km and then run parallel to the beach for another 100 km. Driving through a 120km long metal road from Coxs Bazar to Teknaf along beachside obviously an attractive event for the marine drivers.

The main reason to visit Coxs Bazar is, of course, the beach, which is shark free. The beach of Coxs Bazar has a lot to offer, such as silvery sands, low cliffs, surfing waves, conch shells, colorful pagodas Buddhist temple, variety of tribes etc. The breath-taking beauty of sunset behind the waves of the sea is captivating. Attractive local cigars and handloom products of the Rakhain Tribal families are good buys. Their unique customs and costume attract tourists. 

Rangamati                                                  

The queen of Chittagong Hill Tracts. Here the hills covered with the forest stand steel with their shadows in the crystal blue water of the Kaptai Lake, largest man made lake (680sq km). From Chittagong a 77 km road amidst green fields and winding hills will take to Rangamati, wonderful repository of scenic splendorous with flora and fauna of varied descriptions. The township is located on the western bank of the Kaptai Lake. Rangamati is a favourite holiday resort because of its beautiful landscape, scenic beauty, lake, colourful tribes (Chakma, Marma, etc).

Its flora and fauna, tribal museum, hanging bridge, homespun textile products, ivory jewellery and the tribal men and women who fashion them, are other attractions. For the tourists the attractions of Rangamati are numerous-tribal life, fishing, boat cruising, water-skiing, hiking, bathing or merely enjoying nature as it is. The Buddhist Water Festival , held from 13 to 18 April each year, is a colorful event.

North Bengal / Paharpur

The ancient universities and education centers. The largest known monastery south of Himalayas has been excavated in Paharpur. This 8th century A.D. archeological find covers approximately an area of 27 acres of land. The entire establishment, occupying a quadrangular court, measuring more than 900 ft and from 12 ft to 15 ft in height with elaborate gateway complex on the north and many more to study in this World Heritage site. Mahasthangarh is the another oldest archeological site of Bangladesh. This 3rd century B.C. archaeological site is still held to be great sanctity by the Hindus.

The ancient ruins fan out within a semicircle of 8 km redius. Several isolated mounds are found scattered in that area. Kantaji Temple is the most ornate among the late medieval temples of Bangladesh. It was built by Maharaja Pran Nath in 1752 A.D. Every inch of the temple surface is beautifully embellished with exquisite terracotta plaques representing flora, fauna, geometric motifs, mythological scenes and astonishing array of contemporary social scenes and favorite pastimes. Rajshahi is another very attractive place for the tourists. Here not only they get chance to study a number of ancient mosques, shrines and temples they enjoyes their stay because of they hospitality of locals. Rajshahi is also famous for pure silk, mangoes and lichees. 

Bandarban                                                  

A road zigzagging through hills connects Rangamati with Bandarban, another Tribal City about 354 km south of Dhaka. The city offers different cultures of dozens of tribes and a scenic display of hills and forests. Bandorban is the hometown of the Bomong Chief who is the head of Mogh tribe. The Mogh are of Myanmar origin and Buddhist by religion, jovial and carefree by nature.

The Moghs are simple and hospitable people. Bandarban is also the home of the Murangs who are famous for their music and dance. The journey to Chimbuque, a high hilltop is breath taking. The highest pick of Bangladesh - Tahjindong (4632 ft) is located in Bandorban. Natural Boga lake near Tahjindong is another surprise for the tourists. Finding undiscovered water falls and lakes at hilltops while trekking through virgin paths are really adventurous and enchanting.

Kuakata

The rare place which has the unique beauty of offering the full view of the rising and setting of crimson sun in the water of the Bay of Bengal in a calm environment. That perhaps makes Kualata one of the worlds unique beaches. The long and wide sandy beach has gentile slopes into the sea. Bathing there is as pleasant as is walking or driving. Truly a virgin beach-a sanctuary for migratory winter birds, a series of coconut trees, sandy beach of blue bay, a feast for the eye.

Boat plying in the Bay of Bengal with colorful sails, fishing. Towering clifts, surfing waves everything here touches every visitors heart. The unique customs and costumes of the Rskhsyne tribal families and Buddhist Temple of about hundred years old indicates the ancient tradition and culture heritage which are the objects of great pleasure of Kuakata. One should visit the Sagor Kannya ( Daughter of the Sea), Kuakata and discover the lovely grace of Bangladesh 

Sylhet

It is of green forest, tribal people, magnificent tea gardens and the splendid landscape of hills and hillocks. Among the different attractions of Sylhet, Srimongal is famous for the largest tea garden of the World covered by lush green carpet.

 

Its terraced tea gardens, eye-soothing orange groves and pineapples plantations and hills covered with tropical forests form a beautiful landscape, is a prime attraction of the tourists. One can have a look intro the spectacular tea processing at tea Research institute. The city presents a lovely natural life. Varieties of birds and wild lives draw the attention of nature lovers.

Saint Martins Islands

St. Martin is the only place in Bangladesh where you can observe living coral. It is a small Island without any rickshaws and cars. About 10-km southwest of the southern tip of the mainland this small coral island has a population of a few thousand. Its a bit of a tropical paradise: beaches fringed with coconut palms, bountiful marine life.

 

St.Martin is an unspoiled paradise, with genuinely friendly people and essentially no crime. The dumbbell shaped Saint Martins island has an area of about 8sq. km. Main attraction St. Martin Island is the Chera Dip or Narikel Ginjira. It is little isolated from the main land but you can go by walking during low tide. The small island is full of coconut (Narikel) trees from which the name originated.  

 Susong Durgapur                              

A city of an old culture, heart stirring green hills, the ancient river Shumesshori and an old church. The hills with their sharp channels and waterfalls form a special beautify. The old church trains the rural people spirituality and life. The river gives the city a huge sand and pleasant boat rides. The life of tribal people Garo is the other attraction of the place.

 

Garo hill the north-north-eastern corner of the country is worth a visit. The mighty Himalayans from backdrop to the upland scenery and even when the rest of the country is sweltering in the hot season, Garo hill offers a welcome coolness. The weather, calm and quite environment and panoramic beauty of the countryside with hill and river will really please you. The countryside of Garo hill area is lash and beautiful and the air is clean. The area is specious and friendly and will make you really relaxed.
