Dhaka the capital of Bangladesh was famous for its finest muslin cotton in the world, but came to limelight during the mughal era in 1608 as the capital of Bengal, the city has remains of mughal establishments, buildings from the British Raj and the legacy of the Nawabs of Dhaka. The old part of the city has a charm of its own with the river Buriganga passing by. The colour and the variety of avocation is a charm for the travelers, in the words by Mr. Peter De Jong,CEO PATA, describes old Dhaka as a living museum.


Dhaka, is surrounded with rivers like Sittalakhya, Brahmmaputra, Dhaleswari, Ichamati and Turag. Cruising is another interesting part of the city and Sonargaon the old capital is just 28 km. from the city center, which was the capital of Bengal under the independent Sultanis (Pre Mughal) and you can see the different suins from the Sultan period to the British region.

Savar is remarkable for its National Martyr’s Monument which stands with the glory of Independence of Bangladesh and Dhamrai is a small township where the brass artisans presents you beautiful hand engraved brass ware.

Itinerary------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 01: ARRIVAL

Arrive Dhaka and transfer to hotel. 

Day 02: DHAKA & BEYOND

Morning visit City tour including visit to Freedom War Museum, Ahsan Manzil, Hindu Street, Sadarghat river port, Star Mosque, Lalbagh Mughal Fort and Parliament Building (if visit inside, require special permission). Afternoon visit to National Memorial Monument at Savar and Dhamrai Brass village. Overnight at hotel.

*Due to Traffic congestion in Dhaka all may not be covered. 

Day 03: BEYOND THE CITY

Morning visit Sonargaon, the old capital (45min./1hr. journey from Dhaka) visit to ruins and folk culture museum. Afternoon cruise on the river Shitalakkhya. Visit Jamdani Village & Murapara Jaminder Palace 

Day 04: TRANSFER

Morning transfer to the airport.
